Term Definition
Quasi-isotropic A condition in which properties are nearly identical in all directions; in fibre­ reinforced composites; this condition can be attained by providing at least three directions with reinforcement in similar layer thicknesses
Quench (Thermoplastics) A process of shock cooling thermoplastic materials from the molten state.
Quench Bath The cooling medium used to quench molten thermplastic materials to the solid state.
Quench-Tank Extrusion The extruded film is cooled in a quench-water bath.
